The Sasha Crochet Tank Top Pattern is a spin off of my Sasha Bralette Pattern (the shorter version of this top). I wanted to offer an alternative for longer length tops for some of you who have requested them! The directions will be for a “cropped” tank top but will have very simple easy to adjust instructions to make the top even longer if you’d like!

If you get stuck on this pattern don’t hesitate to leave a comment at the end of this post and I will get back to you asap! As always you can always contact me via Instagram or email as well.

Pattern Notes

This body of this top is worked in one piece. The back laces up which makes the sizing a bit more flexible (aka perfect tops to make for loved ones so they can lace up the back as tightly or loosely as they need and it will still fit!).

If you want the top to feel more supportive (and have a tighter fit overall) I suggest sizing down. There is a sizing video further down in this post to help answer any questions you may have.

The straps and lace up back are the last things added. I always try my top on after completing one strap to make sure the fit is comfortable for me. You can always add or deduct rows to increase or decrease the strap length.

Stitches Used

I will be using abbreviations (beginners check out my printable abbreviation cheat sheet) in this written pattern so here is a list of the names/abbreviations and brief directions for each:

Stitch (ST) – Next chain or stitch you are going to work into

Chain (CH) – After having an slip knot on your hook, YO and pull through your slip knot. That is a chain 1. YO again and pull through loop on hook. That is your chain 2, and so forth.

Slip Stitch (SS) – Insert hook into next chain/stitch and yarn over. Pull through chain/stitch and continue to pull through the loop on your hook.

Single Crochet (SC) – Insert hook into next chain/stitch and YO then pull through the chain/stitch. YO and pull through both loops on hook.

Single Crochet Back Loop Only (SCblo) – Insert hook into only the back loop of the next stitch and YO then pull through the stitch. YO and pull through both loops on hook.

Half Double Crochet (HDC) – YO and insert hook into next chain/stitch and pull up a loop. YO and pull through all loops on hook.

Crop Top Wont Stop

I like the bralette version of this top, but I think I love the cropped tank top version. Do you like the alternate option from the original pattern? Would you like to see me offer variations of some of my other patterns as well? Or do you prefer to just see all new patterns every time? Please let me know below so I can keep that in mind for future posts!
